My blinds were ordered on May 8, 2004. You had to pay half at that time. The order was to take approximately 6-8 weeks. The man came out to measure on May 24, 2004. You had to pay 1/2 of the remaining balance.
A contract was sent through the mail requiring the balance be paid before the shutters would be delivered. I paid the balance
I called on July 12 to find out the status of my shutter...left message. Graham returned my call on 7/13/04. He said that there had been a production delay and that they should be ready within the next 10 days. He would call me back 7/14/04 with further details.
No call on 7/14/04. I heard nothing further.
I called 8/6...left message w/ Denise, the salesperson who sold me the shutters. She turned it over to customer service where the mailbox was full and you could not leave a message.
8/9/04 - called again....closed on Monday. Finally, got a human being ,Nora,on 8/10/04. She stated that Graham was no longer with the company and she has started 2 days ago. She looked up my order and said it would be ready in 10 more days. This is what "Graham" had told me in July. I told her it was unacceptable and I wanted to speak with the manager. She (Christine) refused to let me talk with him (Donnie)"He is in a meeting". She said the shutters were ready. The person in charge of delivery would call within the next couple of days. If not call her back on Monday. Well, they are closed on Mondays.
8/11/04 - I threatened them with legal action
The person in charge of delivery called me 8/13/04 and we set up an appointment for Monday, August 16, 2004 at 9:00 a.m.. The charge would be 275.00 for installation. At 9:00 he called and said that his men had just arrived at the factory, so they would not be able to deliver until between 11:00-11:30. We agreed. They didn't show.
