I took my vehicle to the Tire Choice location in Tampa, on Racetrack Road.

The tech stated I needed new brakes and new rotors.  In my opinion the rotors could have been turned....  They advertise a $149 brake job.... which would cover turning the rotors, new pads and installation...

I was over charged for a front brake job. I paid $448 and at most, it should have been $250 to $290. So, my first major complaint is that they over charge for their work.  I know this to be of fact because since getting the job done at The Tire Choice, I have gotten prices from other garages who would have done the same work for much less.

After I was ripped off by The Tire Choice and the repairs were completed , I called Adv***** Auto Parts and new rotors cost as low as $39 each.

Secondly, they told me I needed new bearings on 3 of my 4 wheels... But recommended all 4 to be done because the 4th would probably go bad as well...  The Tire Choice quoted $1100 for that repair.

My vehicle (a small SUV) is under an Extended Warranty. I took it to the Ford Dealer and the Service Manager said, "there is absolutely nothing wrong with the bearings.. and he would be happy to fix
something that is under warranty,,,but nothing is wrong with the bearings."

I am not one to complain, but on the other hand, if I get ripped off as in this case, I want to make sure others do not.

I will no longer do business with Tire Choice and will promote to others to stay away from this company.  Get quotes from other garages and stay away from this company !!!

I do work on all of my cars and have over 25 years experience. I bought tires at Tires Choice. My car needs road force balancing. Tires Choice has the appropriate machine but nobody has enough education on how to use it. They told me I had bent rims at one location. Took it to another one of their locations and they said the rims are fine that I have bad tires. I ended up swapping out the tires after arguing with them. Yep had to pay more money. I made the mistake of buying a lifetime alignment and life time balance. I go to get an alignment with rotation and balance. They again did not do the road force balance which creates vibrations in my car. So again they tell me it's my rims. Go to another location and they tell me it's my tires. It comes down to road force balancing is more labor intensive than static balancing. They are either too lazy or uneducated on using the Hunter Gsp9700 machine. While going thru all this they broke 6 center caps on my factory rims trying to balance them. They over torqued the lug nuts and I ended up having to buy new ones. Then they lost the wheel key. Stay away from Tires Choice!!!!
