My mother and I were looking for a particular type of magazine and finally found one on this site. I subscribed and then it went to the back of my mind until my mother asked about it. I checked and the confirmation email said since it was a bimonthly magazine that it would take 10-12 weeks to get it. From time to time she would remind me, and then 12 weeks rolled around.
At first I thought I should give them a little bit more time, then another week went by, then another. I filled out a customer service email from their web site and only got an email saying bimonthly magazines took 10-12 weeks (I had already told them it had been 16 weeks already).
Finally I went back to the web site and found out you can only get a refund within 48 hours! How can you know you need a refund in 48 hours on a product you aren't going to get for 12 weeks? I also checked my bank account and discovered that they had taken the money for the subcription the day after I had subscribed.
Finally I had enough and I decided to call the phone number on one of their emails I had received from them. I called it more than once to be sure, but a recording said it was invalid.
I am going to go to my bank to see what can be done, but other than make sure they can't charge me for a subscription next year, I think I'm out forty bucks.
