Thompson - rca Product Exchange Center a once great name in american electronics (rca) is a ripoff. Socorro Texas
Bought an RCA VCR/DVD player recorder combo with the Guardian feature built in at a Wal Mart. Soon had problems with it and looked in manual to see proceedure for repair or replacement. Manual said to send unit to Thompson Inc. and they would determine if it would be replaced or repaired and I would be contacted.
I sent it as instructed on 09/17/08 via UPS. I tracked it and it was delivered 09/22/08 at 11:25 am and was signed for by Jimenez. I still have not heard a word from them, even after sending them a letter 3 weeks ago.
I would like my unit back or my money. I still have original receipt. Its sad RCA doesnt check out the people they have take care of their warranty work. From now on I will not purchase anything from RCA or another company if warranty work is sent to Thompsons.
