Well I've been on thumbtack since 2012 it started as an IT venture for and finishes off with Dj services. From an IT I landed approximately 3 to 4 jobs. Out of the hundreds spent on leads. I started to feel as if the competition was so fierce that my profile and reviews were under par. I fixed all that and the leads kept coming I played around with my prices to the extent where I was almost offering service for free and still nothing. In 2015 I decided to go full fledge with my Dj services account and noticed the two accounts had comingled and since PC repair had become nearly impossible to land a job I shut down the PC repair account and kept it along with the Dj services and this category was worse parties that dont exist leads with same names. I also went as far as to think that maybe I was that until I changed and basically worded that I'd negotiate the price if customer couldn't afford my rate. Sadly my desperation for a job and to make money has lead me to go under approximately in the thousand range. That's insane!!! Then to no avail I start reading complaints from the Internet against Thumbtack and it all make sense to me now. Conspiracies are only just that till proven truth and I strongly do hope that others like me have justice for the injustice of this service when working in a transparent way it can be good for the people investing and prospering along with it and also helps the economy. But when this became a Ponzi Scheme it went down the drain completely. Let it be known when the class action law suit drops I want in.
