This is probably an exercise in futility, but i am in the process of getting the city and law enforcement involved. Timber Canyon Apartments are owned by a company named Grey Star. Since we have moved in we cannot get anyone in the office to return our calls and we cannot get maintenace out for repairs. This has been going on for two years and we have finally had enough. Our apartment is roach infested and in disrepair. We have mold growing in our walls and our air conditioner is barely functional. I personally have repaired the air conditioning on two occasions because they refuse to help. The staff is disgustingly detached from any responsibility. The staff allow illegal aliens to loiter in front of the property, drink all day until they get tired enough to finally go to bed in our laundry room (which are not functional, by the way). We have repeatedly made them aware of our concerns and our concerns have been ignored.
I am in the process of getting the media involved as well as the BBB and city officials. What is going on here is criminal and i would like to take them to court. I hope that others who have had to go through this experience with this "complex" will see this and join me. It has come to my attention that they are packing section 8 individuals into the property and this is probably why they have no care or concern for anything but leasing a unit. Stay away from this place at all costs. I reported them to the Texas Apartment Association and im guessing out of frustration they finally called me, but nothing was done because I had fixed the issue myself. I am leaving in February and I assure you I will be making lofe difficult for these ingrades through legal action. I am hoping I can at least get the health inspector out here.
