Time Warner Cable Internet didn't work most of the time for over a year. Columbus Ohio
In May of 2007, we moved into our house, and had to change service providers for internet. We changed from Insight Digital to Time Warner Cable. Right from the beginning we had intermittent internet connection problems. We just called Time Warner and asked them to come fix the problem, which they did attempt to do. The problem is, is that someone had to be there for them to be able to come and do their "repair". This situation occurred at least 7 different times in the course of a year, all along the way, we were having trouble logging on, not getting email etc. Time Warner never offered to compensate us for our lost down time and we did get them to give us a break on the bill one of the months for about 9 dollars. The kicker here is that we idiotically decided to up our internet speed after the internet had been working well for about 2 weeks straight. From the point in time that they upped the speed the service actually got worse than ever. We, for all intents and purposes had no real service for the last month that we carried Time Warner. We had decided that we were not going to pay them for the last bill of around 91.00 and after a couple of weeks they sent a collection notice for 73.00????. anyway we paid the 91.00. A plus to the whole thing is that we changed over to WOW here in Columbus and have not missed a beat since. WOW is a thousand times better than Time Warner Cable.
