After I booked a reservation with super shuttle I received an offer for a $20 rebate if I signed up for great fun and I would have 30 days to cancel before I would be charged a monthly fee. After 2 weeks I did not receive my 20 rebate and I called to cancel my membership. 

I received an email confirmation that my membership had been canceled. I was comfortable with that so I did not think anything else about. Recently (14 months later) I realized that there was a recurring charge on my account for $16.99 each month. I check my account online almost daily but this charge never really stood out to me because I make small purchases often. I did some investigating and found that this monthly charge was for shoppers advantage which is a department within the same company as great fun.

I called the phone number listed in the great fun cancellation email and I reached shoppers advantage. I complained about the charges. They told me that their company has 16 different businesses and when I called to cancel great fun the person that helped me was not aware that I signed up for shoppers advantage. I explained that I only signed up for great fun, I never agreed to sign up for more than one offer. I signed up for one offer and I canceled one offer.

The person I spoke to said that I signed up for 2 offers and I needed to cancel both offers separately. This makes no sense. First and foremost, they are not going to convince me that I signed up for more than one offer. Secondly, if I can reach all 16 businesses at 1 phone number and I call to say I want to cancel my service with your business, you need to cancel my service with you business, period, I don't care how you have the service categorized in your system. If it was not communicated to me as 2 services I should not have to call and cancel 2 services.   

This company is a scam. They market themselves as one company but when it comes time to cancel they tell you that you have to cancel different portions of whatever offer you signed up for. It really bothers me how other people make a living taking advantage of those of us that are honest and work hard for our money. I've already files a complaint with my bank and I intend t reach out to 20/20 and the local new station about this company. I also intent to write super shuttle's corporate office to let them know about they type of company they are in partnership with.
