I bought a 2007 chevy tahoe for $40,000.00 and it has many paint issues. It has been into the dealer 3 times for that same issue. Everyone told me they have no idea what it is and they have done all they can do.

The general manager told me that the only thing they can do is repaint the vehicle completely. If the problem is still there after the tahoe is painted there is nothing else they can do. I asked that if the paint job did not work would he buy back the vehicle or replace it and he told me NO.

I also had asked him how much value the tahoe would lose and his response was"It can't lose more than it already has.Now he told me this after he found additional issues with the paint. He also stated this in front of the area manager.

The other option that he gave me was and I quote "You can sue me, the dealership, and GM if you want but the only thing the court will do is make me paint it if you win and if it even goes to the court."

Everyone I have dealt with, which is the salesman, his supervisor,head guy of the paint and body dept., the general manager and the area manager all have seen the problem and no one can explain it or fix it.

I just want to know who gave the car dealerships the right to sell defective products.I was not given what I paid for and that sounds like a rip-off to me.
