Complaint Review: Tony Jacobs Dirty Dawgz Animal Rescue in Aurora Colorado - aurora Colorado

Tony Jacobs of Dirty Dawgz Rescue in Aurora Colorado is representing that he is a nonprofit.  He is collecting pledges illegally, failing to provide receipts, and ripping off fosters by promissing to reimburse them for vet bills and other various expences and refusing to follow through.  

 In March of 2014, Tony sent me to his vet with a foster dog named Cole.  Tony assured me that his credit card was on file. When I returned to pick the dog up I discovered that the credit card on file didnt belong to tony but rather to his former associate Debrah Horvath. Tony asked me to pay the bill and assured me that he would reimburse me via his paypal account. I didnt think he would give me any problems with paying me back because I was aware of the fact that Kathy Hodge, his funds collection person had already received over $700 in donations for the dog.  Tony did make a couple of payments while the dog was still in my care.  However, those payments stopped once the dog was turned over to the adopter.  

 I have patiently waited for over 3 months to be reimbursed.  I did remind Tony several times about the debt but each time he would ask me to send him the vet bills and then when I would bring it up again a few days later he would claim that he never got my email.  I sent the vet bills repeatedly to both Tony and his rescue partner Regina Quinn.  Both denied receiving the email over and over.  I finally sent the vet bills to the adopter who then forwarded the vet bills to Regina.  Once Regina received the email from the adopter she sent me a text message stating that they would not accept the bills from Glenda and that I must email them the bills.  I tried to verify the email address with Regina several times via text and she refused to verify the information for accuracy.  It was obvious by now that tony and regina had no intention of paying me back for expenses that were incurred for Cole.

 When I threatened to file a complaint with the IRS, Tony Jacobs resorted to blackmail.  He claimed that he had a sex tape of us and that he would post it on the internet if I proceed with filing the IRS complaint.  I concluded that Tony must have drugged and raped me because I have no knowledge of making any sort of a sex tape with Tony Jacobs.  I contacted the Aurora police department and told them about the situation and that Tony Jacobs is blackmailing me with a sex tape.  The pd went to Tonys house to have a talk with him about my allegations and ended up arresting Tony that evening for an outstanding warrant.  

 Subsequently, Tony decided to harass and slander me on his facebook page.  He alleges that the dispute stems from personal differences rather than from his refusal to reimburse me.  He contradicts himself by claiming that I offered to pay the vet bills as a donation and then claiming that he was not able to pay me back because I did not provide him with my paypal account information so he could initiate the transfer.  However, tony did have my information as he had already made 2 payments to my paypal account towards these expenses.  In fact, he would not have made the two payment if I would have offered to donate the funds so both his statements are clearly false.

 Tony Jacobs also refused to furnish me with a donation receipt for airfare which I paid to help him recover another rescue dog after he attacked another foster.  When I contacted the IRS for assistance I discovered that Dirty Dawgz Rescue IS NOT A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION and that I would not be able to claim the donation as a tax write off as promissed.  He is currently on face book trying to solicit more donations and making additional claims regarding his tax status.  He is promissing facebook users tax deductions on donations made to his foney rescue.

Tony Jacobs has threatened me with sending people to my home via text, has posted liabelous lies about me on the internet and has stolen money from me after I did him a favor and foster one of his dogs.  He also tried to get me to take the dog that eventually attacked the other foster.  When I refused to foster the dog based on the dangerous and unpredictable behaviour that the dog was showing when I went to visit him at the trainer Tony became irrate and insisted that I was simply afraid of dogs.  A rediculous statement to make about a person who has owned pit bulls for over 25 years and has taken in dozens of fosters in recent years including pregnant dogs, dogs with litters and in Coles case, a dog that was deemed as human agressive by the shelter.  Which reminds me... Tony didnt disclose that little tid bit of information when he asked me to pick Cole up and foster him.  When I called the shelter in rout to make sure the dog was still avialable the officer explained that the dog was human agressive and would not be released to just anyone.  Tony knew that he was sending a single mother who resides in a home with her 7 year old child to foster an agressive dog and he didnt even bother telling me.

 Tony Jacobs is a theif, a liar, a scammer and a criminal.  Stay away from this person.  He is bad news.
