I need to inform everyone regarding to Tonya Harris. She is a con artist and a scam artist and will take your hard earned money with disregard to commit to deadlines. This lady is on Thumbtack and when I inquired for Home Staging she quoted me for $750. During our first meet, she went through our consultation extremely quick which I thought was weird but decided to give her a chance. She said she only accepted paypal and wanted half of the fee up front. When I made payment, she complained that it was an echeck and could not accept it. She said she already bought materials already so I had to drive to her home the same night and even gave her $400 cash up front, that is more than HALF. She said she would be done on a Friday at 12 noon. She then texted me on that Friday around 3pm and said she needed more time and would be done on Friday NIGHT so I told her after work on Saturday I would check it out then go from there. Saturday came, after work I stepped into the home and NOTHING was done NOTHING. When I called her, she didnt answer (wow) so I sent her a text asking for a time frame because she missed 2 deadlines already. No response til late at night and she texted back she will need to make arrangements. (ok...?) . Sunday came, I called her no answer (really...??!!!) I sent her a text, obviously, looks like someone is frauding me. Took my money, hasn't staged the home and isn't returning my phone calls. What would anyone think??? I texted her back, that we want our monies returned. She texted back saying she has ASTHMA and thats why she cant answer my phone calls AND she spent materials up to $900...WOW just WOW! Then blamed me for being a bad customer LOL. Seriously, why would a professional not call her client and inform her client she would be spending OVER the fee she quoted!!!!! WHO DOES THAT????? She commited to two deadlines and FAILED, nothing is in the home after 3 days, no returned phone calls. I am a client paying for a service, this lady isn't doing me any favors. The home should have been staged and listed by now. Due to her delays, we are just completing staging now. This lady WILL take your money and without any consideration for your timeline and priorities will give you the run around. I still HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY IN RETURN. THIS PERSON IS A VERY HORRIBLE PERSON AND IF SHE KEEPS SCAMMING PEOPLE SHE WILL ONLY GO DOWNHILL. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND I WILL BE REPORTING HER FOR CONSUMER FRAUD. USE THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PERSON AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

Dear angry consumer,
My apologies,once again. Had you posted my other reviews everyone would know all were 5 star reviews.
When I hired I expressed that I make custom bedding and sofa pillows to accentuate the structure of the home.
I found your home to be beautiful but not inviting. The rooms are scattered about and closed off from one another.
My reason for focus on the master bedroom,the family room and the kitchen.
I as many custom designers ask for payment for materials specific to the job.
My only reason for charging for materials only was to generate interest in my custom pieces and to sell your home promptly.
The homes that I have staged in the past have sold within a few days of me staging them.
To stage your home was easy because it is a beautiful home. Your inability to sell it promptly could have something to do with your unrealistic expectations.Maybe you got in over your head on the purchase.Ive no idea.
I do know what a desperate person sounds like and wanted to help you.
You paid a portion with a check. I was already out of pocket for the fabric needed to make bedding and pillows for upstairs and downstairs as well as the reclaimed wood to make the dining room table.
I stated I needed the remainder. You had already given me a check that I would not have access to for 5 days.
This is a red flag to someone leaving their items in someones home. If you hired someone to make custom pieces as I did it would have cost roughly 3000 and that is being generous.
I did not ignore your calls I was working nonstop to finish your pieces and I had an asthma attack due to too much dust when making the table.
Your boyfriend also expected me to do more rooms than we had agreed upon and to keep the peace I took the challenge. He seemed controlling and I saw your desperation.
Im a kind person,beyond fair and most certainly generous.
Im hardly a scam artist.
I have numerous happy clients and sadly you are in the history of my work my first unhappy client.
My apologies to you,once again.
Im happy to give you the pillows/remaining fabric . I still have them as they are yours.
To call me such intense names then make a fake YELP profile..thats fraud. You made a YELP profile pretending that you were me. THen you posted my address and only your review.
Maybe you should seek unrealistic expectations elsewhere. Some of us work for a living.
