Torchmarket Cooperation None Misleading job title for interview Craigslist Maryland
I was called for a interview today where I applied for a office manager position on Craig's list. I spoke to an Mr. Emmanuel and he stated that the recruiter seen my resume and wanted me to interview for a benefits coordinator position. I agreed and my interview is schedule for April 13, 2016@ 9:30am. When researching the company I notice that torchmarket was located in other cities outside of Maryland so I put in the address that was given to me and it came up ripoff reports. I am very suspicious because the same thing that was told to me is similar and I never spoke to these people. I was also told when I come to the interview dress very professional, and I'm thinking to myself don't I know that. Also, I was told I will see a clipboard on the receptionist area and for me to put the person name I spoke with Emmual. Everything I have read now make,sense, and I am glad I came across this before going to the interview. I also hope that this scam and be corrected so others won't get mislead false information. Mr.Emmual told me before hanging up with him that he will email me with confirmation of date, time, and location but he tested it to me another red flag. I'm just glad that i discovered this before next week, and I hope that this will help others.
