I am extremely shocked and excited to find the Lifemates article dated March 25,2015. I too have been a victim of the exact same scenario from a different company called Toronto Professionals. I went through the same process as described by the 2 women in the article. Finally I’m not alone with how these companies manipulate venerable women. My signed and paid agreement happened August 2014. I was given a match exactly one week after signing that did not meet any of my requested requirements. I tried to cancel and Toronto Professionals said because I actually went on the date I was not allowed to cancel the $5700 fee i paid. I received a 2nd match in November 2014 and did not meet the man as the gentlemen said we lived too far away and he was not willing to drive 2 hrs to meet me.
In February I paid for a litigation lawyer to request a refund or part of my money back with no success. The same letter Lifemates presented the women in your article was presented to me and my lawyer from Toronto Professionals. I paid $500 to the lawyer for this letter. I am now out $6200 and no match of services from this scamming so called match company called Toronto Professionals, 7 months later all im left with a $6200 debt! I wonder how many other poor victims like myself have experienced such a scan. I am a Professional Banker for 27 years and a single mother of 2 boys. How can a company get away with this? Can anybody help me get some or all of my $ back ? Thank you for your time
