Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Ok so first things first let me say that NO company or business is perfect or without fault. With that said i have looked up this company because i used to work for this company and Matt Parker and like to keep track of them.

IT IS A REAL CONTEST!!! The contest starts over every six months and there are 2 first places each year. The reward for doing the contest 6 days a week is at Christmas time we got to go to Mexico for 4 days normally too have fun and relax. We were not saints, but neither is anybody else. Most of us were 18 to 25 that liked to do what almost anybody likes to do at that age. The  points are real. I have been to the Christmas banquet 6 times and met many ppl that won first place. YES they win a trip and money. The harder you work the more points/money you make normally. First places is not the only prize given 2nd 3rd 4th also get cash prizes.

Just as in any business you have ppl that work that are just misguided ppl and dont make good decisions. Matt Parker himself is one of the best ppl i have ever met and would not intentionally hurt or rip off anyone. I worked for Tower of Power and PCCS for almost 7 years.

PCCS is a company that gets contracts to sell magazines and books at a discounted prices. The ppl that are giving reports that the magazines are expensive are failing to say that the magazines are normally for MORE than 1 year at a time. A $50 or $60 subcsripton can be for 2 to 4 years. You pay the one price and thats IT! You are NOT required to keep the same magazine if you get bored you can change it or your address.

Sometimes a year magazine can cost 50 or 60 but they are normally weekly or bi-weekly magazines. Not all the magazines are a great deal but most are good.

As for the people who wonder YES you DO get the magazines or books. I have been off the road now for around 3 years and my family and friends STILL get magazines that i sent them on the road.

It is NOT slave labor but it is a sales job. Normally if you dont put in effort you dont make any money. Everyone has off days though. I had my fair share.

I have knoceked on many doors and gotten good and bad responses. Please keep in mind that if you have a bad experience i will apologize cause it happens, but dont let one bad apple spoil a whole barrel. I have had ppl slam the door in my face among many other things, but i also made friends that i will have for the rest of my life!! There is a person with feelings on the other side of the door should you choose to slam it. Just please say no thank you and have a nice day.

And for those ppl that say get a real job it is very real job and contest that requires patience, heart, courage and a strong willingness to put up with a lot of crap from ppl that choose not to understand a different kind of life other than their own.

When i started i had an apartment a car and was on the verge of becoming a very bad person. The contest and Matt Parker made me a better person. I grew up and learned responsibility for myself and others. I will never regret the places i went or the person i have become.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, October 03, 2011

I am an ex-employee for Tower of Power Sales. This is a commission based Job and everyone that is interviewed and hired is notified of this information. When a Sales Rep joins the team and chooses to  wander around his/or her assigned territory of work ,or chooses to be lazy and hang out with the people he/she meets while they should be working , of course that is a person who is not going to make any money in this field. This is an amazing Job for a single person over the age of 18. I loved my job and took it seriously so i was able to not only Travel ,like all the other sales reps did ,but also have an amazing time in every city and state we went to. When a Sales Rep joins this team they are immediately welcomed and accepted no matter where they came from , they are given a new start they can choose to make it a positive one or a negative but it all depends on the individual. As for the magazines , yes customers do receive them. I would go back the next year and work the same Territory from the year before and speak to the same people who were usually happy to see me again and find out how i did in the last contest. They would usually renew or contact their neighbors and have them get some subscriptions. It's a real contest . You can win Trips and also Cash Awards which everyone is eligible to receive. Please Don't Judge what you don't know or don't understand. I worked alongside Matt Parker for years and saw him go out of his way thousands of times for his employees . He has helped many people to better their lives when they had no one else ,no family or friends. To this day my years at Tower Of Power are some of the happiest in my life . I made great frienships that i cherish to this day ,and i got to travel to places people save up for years to one day hope to visit. I hope i can enlighten you to keep an open mind about the Magazine Business and the people who work there. Have a Blessed Day.
