I bought a 1998 Sienna from these guys in February 2006 and had a mechanic friend check it out. My friend said there was a problem with the engine and told me to bring it back right away. Two door handles also broke the first day I had it. They checked out the car and sent one of their mechanics to "pretend" and look at the engine. The mechanic told me my friend was wrong about everything and doesn't know what he was talking about, even though my friend fixes up and sells cars for a living.

They refused to take the car back even if I paid for mileage. I was told by the "supervisor" that they would take the car back if I found a problem with it but they did not honor that. The stupid salesperson was yelling at me for bringing the car back!!

I just had to pay $400 because the driver's side window stopped working. Today I brought the car in for an oil change and was told my back tires needed to be replaced and I had oil leaking in the engine and needed a new gasket (another $400).

The problem is, the mechanic today told me the engine definitely had oil leaking way before I bought the car and the dealer should have known about the oil problem.

One of my friends was also ripped off by them recently. DO NOT go there to buy a car or for service!! They will rip you off too.

A simple question. If you plan to buy a used car, from any dealer, ask a simple question. Will you let me take the car to a mechanic to have it checked out before I buy it? If they say no, walk away. They are hiding something. Most used car dealers buy their inventory from trade ins used to purchase new cars. Going to a used car dealer you could be buying a car that they purchased for $25.00. Reputable new car dealers keep only quality cars for resale from trade ins. All in all, with the reputation used car dealers have for honesty, you shouldn't have believed anything that wasn't in writing.

I needed a new car but my friend didn't have any Siennas. And like I said, they were supposed to let me take the Sienna back if there was anything wrong with it but they went back on their word. That's why I'm writing this report in the first place. Any more simple questions?

Here's a simple question. Why didn't you have your "mechanic friend" check it out BEFORE you bought it? Oh, and why didn't you buy a vehicle from him? If he "fixes up and sells cars for a living".
