First off I Bought a brand new 2008 Scion, i heard they where decent enough cars and liked the way it drove. Toyota of San bernardino "appeared" to be very courteous and helpful. after the 2nd day of driving this car I noticed that all of the seats had holes in them. not from cigarettes, just strange tear holes, at first this seemed strange, then i noticed residue where the company tried to glue the holes up to make this car "new" again.

when i took the car to the company the bold customer service Rep stated and i quote "That is too bad, you should have noticed them." this car had less than 20 miles on it at the time and was riddled with holes and glue, causing me to spend over 300.00 in seat covers. I wish i was finished but let us move into Maintenance charge, I was charged 2200.00 for 2 year Maintenance upon questioning this so called "maintenance" charge i was told that it would only cover 5 oil changes and nothing more (Laugh out Loud).

Then just when you thought it couldnt have anymore issues the Airbag light comes on the dash telling me theres an issue. Taking the car back down to the dealership yet again only to be told that it was because we had a "locking" gas cap. after putting a stock gas cap on it the lights remained on, a service tech reached under the dash and "fixed' the issue. only to find he did not by the time i got home. Returning to the dealership they said a "tube" was broke and they would have to order it upon inquiring for more information i was denied.

Once more taking the car back for this "tube" only to get another excuse that a rat had chewn thru the wires, when i asked the tech which wires they where i could not get an answer. Now they want 400.00 to fix this and refuse to show any evidence that rats have climbed in my brand new car that has spent more time at the dealership than in my driveway. I have read other customer reviews of this company and believe this is an atrocity that they are allowed to remain in business this is not the only case of "divine rats" and probably will not be the last.

Props to toyota for their magical rodents. I am disgusted with this and the fact that the company will do nothing to help you shows me toyota has all but lost its name for being quality and taking care of its customers.

Maybe the Holy Seats were caused by Divine Perspiration?

How did you miss the problems with the seats? I have no idea what could cause that short of a 'major bad event', i.e. this was a demo unit and something bad happened to it. Have you run CarFax on the VIN? Take it back 3X for a problem and then get the dealer to eat it under the lemon law? We got a Chev Citation for my wife in 1981 as a gift from her dad. We could have a 'demo' for free, or I could pay $50 extra for a new Citation. I let my FIL talk me into saving that $50. I later learned that the demo Citation had been wrecked when I could not align one headlight properly. I removed its headlight basket, which was split. The dealership was too cheap to replace a headlight basket that cost me $12. Two years later I had to replace a front wheel bearing ($350). You just cannot be careful enough.
