This company's business is automobile sales and service.

Bureau File Experience

The complaint history for this company shows a pattern in their

customer complaints alleging general dissatisfaction with warranty repair work and deceptive selling practices.

Specifically, customers allege unnecessary repairs were performed, or problems were misdiagnosed by service technicians. Other complainants allege misrepresentations in selling practices regarding financing availability or vehicle lease agreements.

The company responded to most complaints by offering explanations, rewriting vehicle contracts or offering additional repair work. A few complaints were closed as disputed; customers were not satisfied with the company's response. One complaint remains unanswered. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company.

...but the BBB will take their money to have a sticker in their window and the BBB plaque on the wall!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, August 19, 2002

Good morning: I am a current employee of the Better Business BUreau. It bothers me when people trash our organization. This complaintant is apparently upset because Toyota is a member of the Better Business Bureau--with said plaque and sticker--. The report states that there were complaints and the nature of the complaints. What he doesnt realize is that we provide information for consumers to make their own, informed decision on who to do business with. ALso, considering Toyota sells millions of cars a year, and this particular dealership has only one unanswered complaint. NOt bad if you ask me. Now, had said complaintat called and gotten a report before using this dealer, he would have know what to expect. And from the report, he can determine whether this is the type of company for him. For someone else, this may not be a deterant. They are members because they answer complaints, and in most cases, offered a resolution favorable to the consumer. That sounds like the type of company that is a good fit for bbb's marketplace ethics. He buddy, how many companies can you call up and say,"I misunderstood my sales agreement." and they change your contract. When you find one, call me.
