Trans Global Moving Never showed after two promised pick-up dates and then cancelled the shipment Davie Florida
I hired Trans Global Moving, Inc. to move my antique furniture from Deer Isle, Maine, to Thetford, England. They took my $784.25 deposit plus $600 in insurance and quoted me a firm date for pick-up. I am a school teacher and was renting a school-year house. The owners stay in the summer. I asked them to supervise my pick-up on the 7th.
Trans Global didn't even know that Global Ocean Freight didn't show up on the 7th and didn't even call me to let me know that they wern't coming. Lisa at Trans Global gave her personal guarantee that the movers would be there on the 11th, 12th or 13th. I was outraged that a mover would give me a 3-day window, but was really in a bind.
I arranged for the owners of my old house to be available on these days (which they were). Again, no one showed up on any of these days. I called frantically (as before) many, many times and never got a straight answer and NEVER got a returned phone call. Trans Global finally called on the 14th to say that they could not pick up my furniture and we made arrangements for the return of my funds. I'll report them again if fedex doesn't deliver the check tomorrow.
