Travel Today, Price Right Hotels Charged me for something I ddint use. Springfield Missouri
On 1/11/2008 Friday I made a reservation for a room in Covington, LA at a Super 8 for one night stay on 1/12/2008, Saturday. I made the reservation at about 11:30 am on 1/11/2008, Friday. I was going to call about a half hour later to confirm the reservation with the Super 8 itself and I noticed an unfamiliar area code. So I looked closer at the reservation to find out that the reservation had been set for Covington, GA.
I called your hotel reservation hotline and was told that not only could I not change the reservation over to Covington, LA but if I wanted to book a room at the Super 8 in Covington, LA I would have to make new reservations for another room and at this point I guess your company would then pocket the $67.61 that I already sent in good faith when booking my room.
I went to the Super 8 website and found this information posted there:
Our Pride of Super 8 motel has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so by 4:00 PM (hotel time) the afternoon prior to your arrival date. Cancellation after the 4:00 PM deadline will result in the first night's room and tax being charged to the credit card on the reservation.
I then told the operator that I wanted the room in Covington, GA cancelled and that I would not want to make another reservation through your company.
I did not use the room and gave plenty enough time for the reservations to be cancelled with Super 8. So, I owe Travel Today nothing. TravelToday.com does owe me though.
