Flooding the Attorney Generals offices with complaints won't get you anywhere. We tryed, they state that the BBB is an organization that state governments have no control over. We did however, file a complaint with the American Chamber of Commerce, they are curently investigating. In my person experiences, in the past 9 months, with the BBB, I've found that Houston's BBB is one of the worst. Upon filing a complaint on a company in their jurisdiction, I received no reply. Then I e-mailed them directly for an answer. Oh, I got a reply. It stated, "Don't ever contact the Houston BBB again." Regards, Ms. Stacey Fletcher: Director of Dispute Resolution. Real nice right. I also contacted the Council, Ron Berry has made it very clear the BBB doesn't give a d**n about anyone but themselves. So what can we do? I think the BBB should go down with any and all scam companies that they help keep in business with their lies and coverups.

My experience with the Better Business Bureau, specifically the Chicago office, is simply that it has not responded to any of the e-mails I have sent them about businesses in my area, and that the BBB has nothing in the way of enforcement power. They can, upon request, say whether they have received a complaint about a specific company, but they do nothing imo to alert the consumers to troublesome businesses, and they certainly do nothing so far as the businesses themselves are concerned, except to notify them of complaints they have received. In other words, the BBB has no teeth.

I received one of those "We can't accept that complaint" letter from the San Antonio BBB. Maybe ALL of us with BBB problems should flood the Attorneys General's Office with complaints against the BBB.
