Travres Screwed up booking and ripped me off Washington State Washington
This company is the first webpage you get if you google Best Western Hotels. I called the 877 number and they processed a booking for me to a hotel in Edmundston, New Brunswick Canada and gave me a booking reference number. I arrived at the hotel and gave them the reference and they said it did not match what they usually book. They called the 877 number and they were told that the booking did not exist. They gave me a room anyway, and charged me the appropriate fees. 3 weeks later I received my credit card statement and it had another charge for the room, so I called Travres for an explanation. They told me that I did not cancel the reservation and that the charge was my problem. When I investigated this, I found out that they booked me into a hotel in East Brunswick, New Jersey USA. The two hotels are 1500 kilometres apart. When I called both hotels, they confirmed that was what happened. I again asked Travres why they would not reimburse me for a hotel charge in another country from the one I booked, and they again insisted that I did not cancel my booking and that the fault lay with me. These incompetant morons booked me into a hotel not even close in name or location to the one I asked for, refuse to accept responsibility and have screwed me out of $112. They should be charged for fraud in impersonating the Best Western online booking and for stealing from me, and apparently loads of other people according to this website. Unbelievable.
