I was searching on Amazon for parts for my 95 chevy van.I came across some trailer hitches that were reasonably priced. Down it the right hand corner were ads for the same hitch but, less costly. The hitch was advertized for $85.00. I checked it out and liked what I saw, so I ordered it. After I paid fo it and recieved the conformation email, I get a second email saying that the order for the hitch was cancelled due to a technical error. Nothing more. I contacted Trends Auto through Amazon and was told:

  "Good afternoon,

Amazon's listing for this item did not have the correct SKU number assigned to it, thus our pricing was incorrect.  We've addressed it with Amazon who will hopefully correct the listing.

There is nothing wrong with Draw-Tite 41121 as far as availability.  It was simply a listing error on Amazon's part that we noticed when we received the order.  If we had processed the order as it came to us, you would've received a Rigid Industries part# 41121 lighting accessory, which I'm sure you would not have wanted.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.  We have contact Amazon to get the listing corrected."

 

i told them that I didn't appreciate being lied to. The SCU was for the trailer hitch. They made the mistake and Amazon instructed them to honor the price. Trends Auto said the order was cancelled and that was it. Amazon informed me that if the issue isn't resold by Trends Auto that they wound honor the Price. This is exactly why I purchase from Amazon only.
