Hi to all who have been ripped off by Trevor DeSouza aka Tri State Contracting, MMD Service Associates, etc, etc, etc. This is what I have learned during the 4 months that I fought with Trevor to get my kitchen cabinet money back. (and I did get it back). I learned alot from his parole officer, the DA trying to put him away, etc. What he typically did was take someone's $$, start a job, then never come back to finish it. He would then file for bankruptcy and not have to pay the money back. In that case, it is not considered a criminal offense (at least in NJ). If he took your money, but did NOT start the job, it is then considered a criminal offense and filing for bankruptcy will not do him any good. HE MUST MAKE RESTITUTION IN THAT CASE. I reminded him of this 3 times a day until he sent my money back - granted, it was only $2200, but I got him to send it back. I pressed charges, and he was arrested back in April up in Trenton, a day before his check cleared! He is currently doing his time in State Prison. You can go to the NJ department of corrections website and do a search for him. His orange outfit looks good on him. He's there until at least 2007.

This guy is quite the crook. He has an alias of Max Douglas or it could be just a misprint on a telephone ect that brought up that name, I would bet it's not. He has filed bankcruptcy 6 times. Has a criminal record for child abuse and writting checks with no account, for amounts over $1,000 -75,000.00. Theft by deception and theft/illegal retention, false impression. Current records show he was sent to prison on 4/30/04 or at least sentenced to the Northern State Prison. He has been on probation for at least the past 6 years. His address listed as of August 2004 aside from the jail, is 12 Ronald Way, Trenton NJ, Mercer County. This may also be an address of a relitive, he used it a few years back. The court document/case number for the current docs is, MER040300207A + MER040300210A. You may want to talk to an attorney about him taking your money. The attorney will know the right way to go about making sure he stays in jail and maybe even longer with the information you can provide, espically if he did this while he was on probation or waiting to be sentenced.
