Get a lawyer. Take some of the money that was meant for payment to Triad and use it for a retainer fee, and get a good lawyer. File complaints with your State Attourney General, FTC, and the California Better Business Bureau. Keep in mind, the BBB is not going to help you in any way, but it will add to the 550+ complaints they already have, and for those people who use the BBB before doing any consumer business, can look up the name and see the complaints and decide not to use them. If enough people file complaints someone will take notice other than a Class Action Law Firm. Someone in Government will look at thier trac record and say enough is enough. In the mean time, use some of that money you had to pay Triad for an attorney, and have that attorney demand Triad show in writing how they came up with that payment amount. If you have any form of phone contact, check to see if YOU are in a one party state concerning recording phone calls. If so, make phone contact with Triad and record the call, try to get as much info as possible. Once you have the information, take it to a lawyer and see what can be done. I know Triad had been sued numerous times in Minnesota, and I know the attorney who has done it. Triad is bad news!! If you would like anymore info and if I can help in any other way, please respond and I'll do my best to help.

I too have a Triad nightmare and until stumbling upon this website. I thought it was just my rotten luck. I purchased a used car that had supposedly passed my states inspection (it was performed by the dealership which sold me the car a conflict of interest if you ask me)It also passed Triad's rigorous inspection progrma, What ever that is I purchased the car and from day 1 I had problems. If you went up a hill or turn a corner at normal speed the car would cut off.I would contact Triad to see what remedy I had to which the response was usually "sounds horrible, where's our money". The final straw came when we had owned the vehicle about 7 months and my wife goes to drop our kids off at school, and the wheels on the van made a loud grinding noise. My wife managed to get the van home. I took it to another dealership in the area who informed me that the axle was bent and that this car should have never been sold to me but it could be repaired for $4000.00. I could not afford to be without a car and when contacting TRIAD I recieved the usual "That's too bad, but we want our money". My Father loaned me the money to repair the vehicle, so That me and my family would not be without a car which we needed to get to work. The final straw came when I had gotten laid off and had gotten behind in my payments.I managed to pay up everything except the current month. The van was repossed that morning I contacted Triad an hour later only to be told it would cost me $2200.00 to reclaim my vehicle. This was on a Wednesday, I was to be paid on Fridy made arrangement to wire the money. I contacted Triad again on Friday to wire the money only to be told that in order fro me to secure the vehicle I would have to pay another $3000.00 on top of the $2200.00 I was scheduled to pay to secure the vehicle.I made some calls and managed to raise the additional $3000.00 only to be told that in order to secure my vehicle I would need to come up with the entire contract amount or as the gentleman on the phone put kiss my vehicle goodbye.I told there was no way I could come up with the money so go ahead and do what he had to do.Is there anything I can do ?
