I purchased in March of 2018 using my Visa credit card as payment. In July 2018 I contacted Tristar by telephone to reserve my Vacation package in Hawaii, and made airline reservations for the week of November 20 - Nov 26, 2018. I received an online reservation showing the Room Reservation at the Hilton Waikoloa, on the Big Island Hawaii I forward a copy of my air travel reservation to them by email, and was promised that 2 weeks before I travelled I would receive a Visa credit card for the total of one fare.
I made contact with them by phone on November, when they told me that there was an electronic signature form that was needed before they could forward the Visa card. I signed it at that time of the telephone conversation. I was assured this was all that was needed and the card would be expedited.
on Sunday, November 19, I left a message for them to contact me because the card had not arrived. On Monday 11/19/18 I also contacted the Hilton to confirm my 11/20/18 reservation. They showed that I was due to arrive Nov 18, but made the change for me. Reservations said that there was a credit card holding the room. Since I did not get a call from Tristar I called and left another message.
Ultimately I arrived at the Hilton, no money had been transacted and I was responsible for payment. I also was out $800 on the BOGO airfare.
Total $1800
