Tropical Garcinia Tropical Mango Cleanse Deceptive Auto Ship and Billing process (is highly Deceptive, borders on Fraud) Santa Ana California
Saw Ad on Facebook looked interesting describing excellent results with weight loss. They were giving a "free trial" for Tropical Mango cleanse and tropical garcinia . I paid 4.95 for each. Nowhere that I saw was there a statement that unless you cancelled in 20 days you would be charged the full amount of 89.92 (Carcinia) and 79.95 (Mango Cleanse) and enrolled in an autoship program. There was no contact information or bill enclosed in the shipment. I had to research through the Internet to search for contact information on the company by its P.O. Box and address.
I called them and stated I never requested these products and was only interested in the promotion to try it and did want any autoshipments. I was told it was in the terms of agreement. It was lengthy and buried. I said I did not want the product and would return. I was told it was not returnable. I said I wanted a refund for the second charge. I was told she couldn't do that. I told her I would request a charge back from my credit card. She told me I wouldn't get it back because all the information was in the terms of agreement that I had clicked online.
I said unless I received a refund I would report the company. She offered first a 50% refund, followed by a 75% then 100% when I threatened to notify the attorney general. I am out $89 for the first mistake and hopefully get the second charge reversed. Do not order from this company. Their business practices are fraudulent. Better Business Bureau of California gives this company a rating of F.
Highly deceptive business practices and you have to wonder about their PRODUCTS when they treat their customers who believed in their website promotion to give it a try. This needs to be reviewed by proper authorities and this business needs to be shutdown or change its deceptive ways. Hopefully, this company will NOT be able to continue operations.
