TROYBILT, GENERAC, SUNSHINEMOWERS TROY BILT & GENERAC RUNAROUND ON REPAIRING THEIR GENERATORS PALM BAY Florida
Bought a Troy Bilt 7550 generator, used approx. 50 hours when it stopped output (no power). Looked up service provider on Troy Bilt's website it was Sunshine Mowers in Palm Bay, Florida.
Took generator to Sunshine Mowers on 9/30/04, the shop was overrun with generators (hurricanes). After three weeks, I started stopping by the shop and asking about the status of repairing my generator. Started feeling like I was getting the runaround, no real answers.
Finally got someone at Sunshine (Carmine) to tell me what was supposeably the problem. Parts were backordered from the parts manufacturer and would be for months.
Last week went back to the store where we bought the generator and they told us to go get it from the repair shop and bring it back to them and they would refund us our money.
We proceed to go to the repair shop and they tell us they won't release the generator because they have parts backordered and a service fee. We offered to pay for the parts and the service fee just for them to release the generator. And they told us even with that they would not release my generator.
As far as I am concerned they are holding my generator for ransom or something.help!
