Truck Masters dishonest rip-off selling lemons Phoenix Arizona
I visted Truck Masters at 21st St and Indian School On the 20th of Febuary, 2004, and a thin cracked out middle aged man approached us. We inquired about a 99 Chevy Tahoe, asking if anything was majorly wrong or needed to be fixed, and the man responded that nothing was wrong, just the brakes were the only thing that had been redone.
The prices that were quoted to us had been changed on the contract, differing from the verbal agreement we had made. Upon my girlfriend signing the contract, It was heavily implied that I should vacate the area by going and checking the car over, making sure we didn't leave anything inside. This gave them a chance to try and confuse my girlfriend and get her to sign the contract for the wrong price. They did so By using jargon and making excuses for their crookedness.
After taking the vehicle for inspection to one of our mechanics, serveral problems had been found including a faulty steering box, totaling out to be over $1,500. So we then took the vehicle back for a refund, but we still have not gotten our money back. They informed us that they had already deposited the check and we will not get it back until as of two days from today.
After we returned the truck, my girlfriend explained to her father what had happened and the next day he went back to the dealer. He test drove it and they said nothing was wrong with it. He asked what was wrong with the steering and they said that all it might be is a low tire. So to sum it all up, these guys stink.
