Complaint Review: True & Associates Inc - Pompano Beach Florida

Hello Freeman, This is True Apodaca. I am in fact the owner of True and Associates Inc. I did not make up that name. I am 27 years old and have had the name my entire life. I understand it is not a standard name and may cause some people to question whether or not I made it up. I did not. Freeman a cool name too though. I would like to set the record straight. I do not advertise on Facebook. I would actually be very interested in seeing where you got this information. I do have my own private page on Facebook as do millions of other people. I like the site. However, once again I do NOT advertise on it. I do however advertise on MySpace and also on CareerBuilder. Both happen to be great resources which attract people of ALL ages by the way. I am young myself however and perhaps these are the resources to which I happen to be attracted. I am targeting' ambitious people with similar drive and work ethic. Regarding the title Free Labor/ Slave Labor.. Such a statement is not only hurtful and melodramatic but completely untrue. Not to mention misleading. It seems to me that this is merely an attempt to slander my company and attract people to your headline. Take up a hobby or something. I also do not understand why on earth you would place your report under the category Door-to-Door sales. I'm absolutely certain that you never went door to door. That is just ridiculous. Regarding the statement "They 'hire' no one"...? Hmmm... You still sound confused. I have 21 reps currently that are all making money. Yes they do make a commission off of their sales. Once again NOT slave labor, NOT arcane and it seems that YOU are the only one who does not understand this. Next point... If you got the 'impression' that True & Associates has more than one location, you must have either misunderstood or have selective hearing. I work with many other companies similar to mine. Let it be known that we are independently owned and operated. I am very proud of this fact. I do not mislead anyone. There is management opportunity within my company and we DO put on promotional events for our clients. The fact that YOU have never heard of them does not discount my clients' validity. As a marketing company it is my job to get their names out there. Get it? Please understand Freeman, my business is not perfect. I do not know of many that are. I went for my "2nd interview" - and was told I would be evaluated on my performance and would be invited back for a 3rd interview if I did well. All of the people that showed up (about 5 other people) for their 2nd interview had their first interview the day before (like me). Dont waste your time here. No salary, ALL commission - hours are from 8am to 7pm. 5 to 6 days a week. True never explained any details to me in the first interview. You will be selling products to people from different locations (gas stations, auto stores, etc.) You will work your a*s off to bring home $400 to $600 a week. I was told between 70 and 80 hours a week. Its multi-level marketing - and True and Associates is a small office of a larger nationwide company that has tons of these smaller locations. This is definitely not a management position....at least for the first 6 months you will be hitting the streets selling products from 8am to 7pm. I would have cared as much if True would have been upfront about the position from the get go so I would have not wasted my time. Very deceptive.
