Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was recently victimized by what I consider a bait and switch operation. The person I dealt with over there was Laura Torres. My intended movein date was November 24, 2015. I looked at a 610square foot unit on November 9. 2015. I was told that such units were being rented at $525/month + electric + gas/water/garbage. In any even I gave them a $50 application fee. After about 10 minutes I was told it had been approved.

I asked if I could also look at a 650 square foot unit. I was told that such units were being rented for $625 + gas/water/garbage with electric paid. I was told that I could look at such a unit the following morning. I did so but decided I would rather have the 610 square foot unit.

I was told that I could hold the unit until November 24, 2015 by paying a $200 administration fee. I asked Laura what my new address would be. She said "I'll tell you when you give us the $200 administration fee." (I should have recognized this as a huge red flag.)  I did not go to the trouble of writing down the apartment numbers I looked at. I was unaware that I was dealing with apartment managers who were too greedy to make the proper disclosures as to what I was really getting.

When I came back with a $200 cashier's check for the administration fee, I was presented with some paperwork to sign. After signing it I drove around the complex of buildings to the exact address shown on the paperwork. I discovered that the unit described on the paperwork had a whole bunch of eqipment and materials inside for some major remodelling. It looked like a junkyard. I drove back to the rental office. I was told that the apartment I saw the previous day was renting for a higher price. (Another huge red flag.)

The Assistant Manager had no right to falsely represent the unit I saw the previous day as renting for $525/month if some of the  610 square foot units were renting for a higher price. She had no right to concel the fact that they intended to commit me to an apartment I had not seen and was likely inferior to the one I saw on November 9, 2015.

I believe that they are out for profits at any cost and don't care about ethics. They will purposely mislead or fail to disclose all the facts for the sake of higher profits.
