Don, I have some problems with your ending quote as to people with bad credit. "a) not paying there bills, b) are liars, and c) want to blame others for their own misfortunes. Did I forget to include d) are usually trouble makers, that are freeloaders, and are lawsuit happy." I think thats something that a silver spooned raised person might think. Yes, I have bad credit due to a child almost dying in the hospital and being charged with over $20,000 in hospital bills, and yes I guess I could have stayed with a man who beat the crap out of me everyday, I don't blame anyone but my self for my actions, I TRY to pay all my bills (maybe not as timely as I'd like) but unlike you I don't make what maybe $50-$150,00 a year, I'm a 35 years old single mom of three and going to college in the spring, working a full time job, with no ones help, I'm not a liar nor am I a "freeloader" I've paid more than you could ever know, Now for the lawsuit happy and the troublemaker remark. I had many lawyers want to sue the Doctors for my sons problem I said NO. Just because I've had trouble in the past with my credit I'm actually trying to rebuild it but of course people like you don't give low lifes like me a secong chance!!!! I tried to buy a house just a small 3 bdrm 1 bath I think it cost maybe $58,000 for my children and I but because of the medical bills I was turned down flat even with a 10% down payment in CASH. As for my cars I by used and my lying, non paying, blaming others, sueing Oh yeah don't for get troublmaking Butt saves my butt off to pay CASH!!!! So get a life (OOOPS forgot you have one, being down on people that are alittle worse off than you!!!)

Your car was NOT stolen from you as you state. YOU are embarrassing yourself with this story. You agreed with the dealer (as witnessed by your signature on the sales contract) and this is what you state in your complaint, that your car was worth $2,250. This is what they are giving you for your car, e.g. this is what they are buying it for!!! YOU agreed to this!! It shows on your sales contract that this is part of your down payment along with your $1,000 cash. Since they are giving you back $3,250, what is your complaint...really?? Your REAL complaint is that you are angry and you are angry that YOU ruined your credit. Be honest, you are not telling the whole story. I am a professional auto salesman at a highline dealership. Based on what you are saying, most dealers could get you financed even not for even a sub-prime lender. I suspect you lied about your time of employment; or your income; and/or your credit. You probably lied about previous employment as well and this is why you couldn't produce a tax return for 2002. I have no interest in this Toyota dealer. From what I'm hearing from you, I'm suspecting that YOU falsified some information on the credit application but yet you've come up with this ridiculous story about the dealer "telling you to fabricate a W-2". This is nonsense and again you are embarrasing yourself. A dealer isn't going to lose a multi million dollar license to sell cars by being involved with your scam. Oh, by the way, the dealer can legally come after you for trying to "defraud them or a lender" if you keep harassing them. Recommendation: Start paying your bills and re-establish your credit. The reason that employers are running credit reports before hiring now days is to weed out people with "bad credit", which are generally people that have bad habits like a) not paying there bills, b) are liars, and c) want to blame others for their own misfortunes. Did I forget to include d) are usually trouble makers, that are freeloaders, and are lawsuit happy. Sorry, the whole world must be wrong and against you. But I'm sure no one believes your story....maybe John Kerry will?!

I am a licensed automotive sales and leasing rep. I take great pride in offering good service and maintaining excellent customer relations. In (5) years, I've never had an angry customer or anyone ever accuse me of cheating them. In Toyota's defense (and I was not there)you signed a "contract". This means they agree to certain things and so do you. Once agreed upon, it's in writing. On the back of the sales contract (long form) you initialed "the recision clause" stating that "if" the dealer cannot get you financed, you must return the vehicle...it is that simple. As far as your trade in, dealers must get them off the lot asap, which oftern means going to the auction. The only thing the dealer is obligated to you for is the "fair market value of your car" (no Kelly Blue book). This $2,250 you stated, is also stated on your contract and this is what they are liable to you for (only). If you want to be angry (and it certainly sounds like you are!!) you need to take a close look at yourself. YOU are the one that has most likely "ruined your credit". There is nothing stopping you from getting your own financing. Why didn't you do this? Because you couldn't!! Get over this because you do not have a let to stand on. And if you continue to harass the dealership in anyway, "yes"..they will call the police to remove you from their property and they also have good lawyers that can come after you if you are slandering them. No reputable dealer will tell you to falsify documents. There are lenders that specialize in what we call "credit challenges" like yourself. I would be willing to talk with you and most likely can get you into a vehicle and help you re-establish your credit. You are welcome to contact me.

For your information, My bank statements did match the amount I put on my application. This was not the problem. The problem was MY CAR was sold ILLEGALLY.

You Wrote: "Mario said I would need to provide W-2's stating my income. I told him, but your application asked for my income (which I interpreted) to mean current income. My W-2's will not show my current income, as I explained." This is true but what you failed to say was that ALL finance companies WILL take bank statements as proof of income...ONLY...If the amount that goes into your account is EQUAL to what YOU put down as monthly income on your credit application! It is painfully obvious that this website as helpful as it is...Does NOT investigate the reports that get submitted to prevent a fraudulent attempt to slander a dealership! Hell I dont even sell cars anymore and I can see that ALOT of these supposed reports are from ignorant people of suspect moral direction! People need to ask themselves one important question...Why is it if a customer withholds information in negotiation(ie: Income, Trade In Condition, PreApproval) he is just being a good negotiator...But if a salesperson does the EXACT same thing they are snakes? The people who live on this site who just comment with venom on every report and side with the consumer are obviously tainted from a bad experience in the past. Here is a suggestion America...If car salesman are scum why dont we do this...Just like every other business in the USA...EVERYONE will pay the same price for the exact same model! Doesent that sound great...Just like Saturn...We all regardless of our negotiation skills will pay the same! Americans will NEVER go for this...NEVER and Saturn proves this! They have been in business for almost 20 years and they still cost GM money! Just get over it America...If the current system of retail pisses you off so much then write your Congressman and lobby to make us all pay the same price...Until that day you are smart to keep quiet to hide your ignorance!
