Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I ordered a box set of Smurf DVDs (the full collection) from tvboxset.com.

I was e-mailed delivery dates of August 1-4 which was great as this was the only gift I was getting for my daughters birthday of August 10.

Only hitch...this is a rip off fraud site at its best. They did a wonderful job of setting this up to look like a real reputible company.

Needless to say, it's too late to get this item from an honest site in time now. They ruined my kids birthday.

Thier site will no longer load from my computer, so I cannot contact. They must have taken my money then blocked my ISP addy.

I've contacted my bank and they have given this company 45 days to prove I recieved the item. Considering I haven't it won't cost me anything but the interest charged during my wait on my credit card, but they have really ruined what was to be the perfect gift for my kids birthday.

I wish I knew of this web site before I ordered.

Guess thier game is for those paying by cheque, much harder if impossible to get your money back.

I am so horribly upset over this!

When I asked other friends of mine, they could get on the web site. Their site was not down! I refreshed my ISP addy and then was too able to get to their site. Only explanation is a block to ISP. They stated in an e-mail they had given product to Canada Post. Canada Post never had the item. I strongly suggest you keep your money where it is.

here's some more info. Jeff (alleged tvboxset employee) has posted: "Also be informed that some postings claim or assume that tvboxset is associated or responsible for wrongdoing in similar DVD sites , we are 100 % not associated or responsible for any transactions in any other site except for tvboxset, we are not fraudulent in any way." Well, the Better Business Bureau serving Mid-Western & Central Ontario seems to disagree. Jeff claims they are not associated or responsible for any other website. Well, the BBBMWO website gives plenty of additional business names and websites for these guys. The following is from the BBB (BBBMWO.CA) website when searching for the business URL "TVBOXSET.COM" and clicking on the Toronto address: The Media Depot 20048 - 3029 Clayhill Rd Mississauga, ON L5B 4L7 Telephone: (800) 392-8711 Fax: (800) 351-0085 www.TelevisionMedia.net http://medialimited.tv www.mediaenterprises.tv www.tvdvdmedia.com www.web-worldwide.net http://www.kozaksdiscount.com www.themediadepot.tv www.tvboxset.com Principal: Mr. Jeff Johnson, Customer Support Customer Contact: Mr. Jeff Johnson, Customer Support - (813) 872-0875 or [email protected] Email Address: [email protected] File Open Date: September 2003 TOB Classification: Book/Record/Tape Club, Mail Order & Catalog Shopping BBB Membership: This company is not a member. Also, let us know when your website is going to list the real mailing address of your company so folks will know what legal jurisdiction you folks are in and where to mail certified or registered letters. While you're at it, why don't you folks register your business information for the domain "tvboxset.com" instead of using a "domain by proxy" service? Oh, that's right, you'd have to list your real address and then folks would know what legal jurisdiction you fall under - can't have that! Well, there is a way for folks to find out where you folks are Jeff by going through the internet services you folks use. All anyone has to do is file a criminal complaint in either jurisdiction for INTERNET FRAUD and then law enforcement will obtain the real names and addresses of you folks as part of their investigation. And yes, your hosting service and "domain by proxy" service will give your information to law enforcement as part of a criminal investigation. Folks in the US should file a complaint in Arizona and the FBI and the good folks in Canada should file a complaint with the Ontario Provincial Police. When folks file a criminal complaint, they should provide the following information to the investigating officer to get the ball rolling: DNS tvboxset.com Mail is handled by mx10.sso.ca mx20.sso.ca Conical name: tvboxset.com IP address 72.52.7.20 Domain Registrant Information for TVBOXSET.COM: Domains by Proxy, Inc DomainsByProxy.com 15111 N. Hayden Rd., Ste 160, PMB 353 Scottsdale, Arizona 85260 United States 480 624-2599 Fax: 480 624-2599 IP Block for tvboxset.com: IP address for tvboxset.com 72.52.7.20 Netrange 72.52.0.0 72.52.63.255 Prolexic Technologies, Inc 1930 Harrison street Hollywood, FL 33020 United States 866 800-0366 www.prolexic.com [email protected] Now folks have the information to relay to law enforcement when they file a criminal fraud complaint. Law enforcement can easily obtain information from your domain registrant, hosting service, and internet service provider as part of the investigation. In fact, these internet service companies are required to maintain records just in case of a criminal investigation by law enforcement! Folks may also file consumer complaints with these internet service companies about your firm. Perhaps with enough complaints about you guys, these internet service companies may decide you're company isn't worth the hassle and bad publicity and drop you. Another venue for the consumers who have not received product is to file a civil suit against TVBOXSET.COM. Again, because there is a legal process ongoing, your internet services as well as financial institutions will have to give up the information so that someone at TVBOXSET.COM can be served with a court summons. A civil suit from a consumer (such as small claims) could be for the interest they were charged by their credit card company while they were waiting for the reverse charges to be processed. This is a legal and effective way to identify a person or business to be served for civil court proceedings. Anyone who is still waiting for product from TVBOXSET should immediately file a dispute of the charges with their credit card company to get their money back for failure to perform. When a CC company gets enough justified reverse charges against a business, they will bar that business from accepting that particular credit card. Good Luck to all who are trying to get their money back.
