Complaint Review: (((NAME(S) REDACTED DUE TO PERCEIVED HARASSMENT / CYBERSTALKING / CYBERBULLYING / REVENGE POST))) - Toronto Ontario

EDITOR’S COMMENT(1/27/2021):  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior.

NOW TO THE EDITORIALLY REDACTED POSTING(S):

I am a retired investor. (((REDACTED))), a politician in Vancouver, referred me to (((REDACTED))) and the partner of (((REDACTED))), an attorney in Toronto for the (((REDACTED))). They present me with an investment plan for my retirement and asked me $65,000 US for 2,750 share certificates of (((REDACTED))). I was told to delivery the payment in money orders to an Attorney in Vancouver named (((REDACTED))), which I did. Time passed with no contact from them at all. After multiple unanswered phone calls I returned to (((REDACTED))) but always found it closed. I tried to contact (((REDACTED))) and (((REDACTED))) but they don’t take my calls nor answer my e-mails. So I started to investigate and I found that there was another similar scam involving (((REDACTED))). They have fake addresses and one of the phone numbers listed on their website m belongs to a Foundation in Toronto. When called, the person from the foundation admitted there was a connection between the two but refused further information. The websites of (((REDACTED))) and (((REDACTED))) are shutting down so I am desperate. I need my money for a cancer operation for my wife. Stay away from these scammers if you want to save your hard earned money.
