I purchased 6 sets of speakers from UBID over the course of two months from UBID. When I bid on the speakers, the information stated they were 100W ceiling speakers, when I received them they were 60W. They were also listed as Sonance brand, but were actually Hometech, a lower quality version of Sonance. They also sent us one wrong set of speakers and it took 6 weeks to straighten out.

Now it turns out that one speaker from two different sets is defective. When I called Hometech they stated that the warranty was void since they were sold through UBID. I have now been contacting UBID through email for three months trying to get this straighteded out. Still no relief in sight. As I write this email I am on hold with UBID for what the operator says could be up to one hour. How convenient! I suggest to anyone who has similar problems to reverse the charges with their credit card company. I would do the same except I have switched credit card companies since purchasing my speakers.
