I have a 6th Gen iPod classic which needed the headphone jack replaced (I broke a headphone connector in it). I dropped it off April 8. They said they needed to order the part which would be 3-5 business days. No problem. I'm patient and can wait.
They called on April 24 to let me know its ready for pickup. I pick up on April 25 and pay for it. I get it back to my office to test my new headphone jack only to see they did NOTHING to it. I still couldn't plug my headphones in.
I go back to store and the manager refunds my money. He says he will try to rush order the part and get it done Friday or even Monday. I didn't hear from anyone again.
I called on May 3rd to find out the status. The guy I spoke with says he is having trouble finding the part. He was gonna try a different part to see if it would work and he'll call me back. I pressed him to see if they ordered the part or what the status is. He "didn't have that information" and he "didn't know."
No call back. I look online and find several places that have the part in-stock and can be over night'd. I called two Mac/Repair shops in town to see how much they charge and if they have the part in stock. Yes they do.
I picked up my iPod today May 10 in the same condition I dropped it off. 32 days it took to find out they aren't capable of repairing it. I'm taking it Denver Mac Repair. They charge the same amount, have the part in stock and promised a 1 day turnaround.
This is the probably the worst customer service I have seen in years. Do yourself and avoid this place and company at all costs. There are better options that will treat you like a valued customer and not just a revenue stream.
