U Haul ripoff thieves abused & mistreated Madison Tennessee
I rented a truck on May 18, 2002. I picked it up and everything was fine. I returned it the same day, cleaner and with more gas than when it was given to me. About three weeks later, there was a message on my machine that they couldn't locate the truck. The next day I got a letter accusing me of stealing the truck and threatening they would issue a warrant for my arrest. I returned the letter with all the needed information. Then a month after that, on my bank statement, they had charged me $140.45 on top of the $81.21 they had charged me originally.
When I called customer service they transferred me several times, and finally transferred me to Sandy Saught in traffic in Madison, TN. The girl there was rude in telling me Sandy was not there, I would need to call back and talk to Terry Dean. I then emailed the uhaul customer service and did not get a response for over a week.
I have talked to Terry Dean at 800-342-8465 many times since then, and on my attempt this morning (8/16), Lisa hung up on me. I still have not gotten a refund of the $140.00.
So I have been charged $221.66 for a truck I had for about 3 hours. I will never use uhaul again, and everyone I know has heard all about it.
