After receiving my phone bill I noticed someone named UKI had charged me for long distance service.I did not recall changing my service so I called ILD which handled UKI billing and they were ready for me. ILD did not even try to explain this bill and immediately gave me the 1-877-673-1355 number to call.It was obvious they did not want any part of this matter.

I did'nt have any trouble getting through to UKI,they also were ready for me, they were on the defense before I barely got started. They informed me that they had a tape of my authorization for the change of long distance service on my phone....sure enough they did..How could i dispute my own voice saying that I was who I was and that I authorized them to change my long distance to UKI.So I agreed to pay the outragious amount of the bill and slept on the problem.

The next day i called UKI back and asked to hear the tape again.First they played it in Spanish, then realizing he was speaking to someone that didnt know the Spanish language he played the tape again. It was me and i was authorizing the change of my long distance service to UKI..what i did not hear was the price they were offering me to change to..that part wasnt recorded..The three calls that i was charged for were for 21 cents a minute with a $4.95 monthly fee.Well i KNEW that I would have never agreed to pay the 21 cents a minute nor the $4.95 monthly charge when i had 60 free minutes a month ,no monthly fee ,and 7cents a minute 24/7 with Sprint. So I let my feelings about the charges not being on the tape known and refused to pay the charge. They agreed to take off some of the charges but I have diputed the remainder of the bill. Too bad that reputable company's are going to have a hard time beating Ma Bell, AT&T ,MCI, and Sprint (not that they dont pull crap) prices because of fraudulent companies out there .Dont let these creeps trick you with their phoney tapes of you giving permission to change your long distance without hearing what price you are agreeing on.
