CURRENTLY FILING A CLAIM Ultimate Warranty Corp is in receivership. I am filing a claim. I was called yesterday at approx. 10:45AM by my dealer service center that someone had to come out and physically inspect that my vehicle's power steering pump and ball joints were faulty. I in-turn called Ultimate warranty to verify that information and they said it would be 24-48hrs for their agent to inspect my vehicle. This was unknown since the claim was filed last Friday. Since my car was already in the shop and the ball joints were repaired, they stated they weren't going to cover them because their inspector needed to see them on the vehicle. I waited and called the company back around noon today to get the status of the "inspector". They said they would call me right back with when the inspector was coming to see my car and did not call back. I contacted South Carolina Department of Insurance this morning and was given a name to talk to within "Ultimate Warranty" that may provide some help. I called back with the anonymous name at 3:52PM today and asked politely to be transferred. The woman on the phone then angrily asked me my name and I preceded to ask, "Is he/she available?" Then she demanded my name angrily (nearly violent) another two times before transferring me to a voice mail. I will update this again after I've talked to this person (will they actually help?). I have a claim currently filed for a power steering pump valued at $450.00 and labor. My coverage from this warranty will be $350.00. They claim that it is a minimum coverage (Cheap) of cost although I can't find that anywhere on my contract. I will check again. At approx 3:52pm today I was informed the inspector will not come to see my car and they have approved the $350.00 for the power steering pump. If this person never saw the power steering pump then they never saw the ball joints (I still have, pending) and it should all be covered.
