Ultrasash Of Connecticut ripoff fraudulant sales Cromwell Connecticut
These guys came out to my house to sell me a bow window. They took a deposit (They had wanted $1600 but settled for $500), measured what size window I needed (of course they had to borrow our tools to do this) and set a date. The date came and no one showed up. I called to find out what happened and they gave me a story that they had been on vacation the previous week and that they "forgot" about the appt. They wanted to reset another appt for over two weeks away. I refused and calmly asked for my money back.
They said that they were sorry for the mishap and inconvinience and they would happily refund my check... it would be to me by the end of the week...it was monday I had called. At the end of the week, my refund had not showed up so I called to find out what was going on and the excuse I got was..."I recieved it back in the mail because there was not enough postage on the envelope and it is sitting here on my desk".
At this point they asked for my checking acct number and they would have it "wired" directly and instantly into my acct. I insisted that they send me a check. Funny, he had to ask for my address again (wasn't it on the envelope that was sitting on his desk that he had just recieved back in the mail?) When they sent it, It was a mispelled name on the check....but I endorsed it and signed it with the correct name. I was very dissapointed with them and do not recomend them to anyone. I feel they are cons.

I had Ultrasash install new windows in my house this summer, and I am very satisfied. I agree it took a while to get the appointment, but this is not a huge company, and while they might have room to improve in their organizing skills, the workmen were professional, courteous, and efficient. The windows perform as promised, cutting draft and outside noise and lowering my heating bills. I have already recommended this company to others.
