In July 2004, I purchased a Kirby vacuum and it was financed with United Consumer Financial Services Company, and was financed for two years. They, in turn, supplied me with a coupon book to make the payments. I, in turn, ditched the coupon book and opted to make automated payments from my checking account to them thinking they were with the program and would send me monthly statements like everyone else in the 21st century automated world does. NOT! It is not nearing the end of the term, and I wanted to get the Kirby monkey off my back. I had to dig out the contract from the Kirby company, get out the magnifying glass, and find the number to call to get a payoff amount. I asked the girl on the phone why I was not sent a statement each month. She informed me that they do not send out statements, YOU HAVE A COUPON BOOK! I informed her of my automatic pay system (Am I the only person on the planet that pays their bills this way???) I then asked her that once the term of the loan was over, how was United Consumer Financial to know that it was paid off? She said "Most consumers call in like you have to find out their pay off." You have to be kidding me! They will probably have been cashing my automatic payments till the cows came home and/or the fat lady sings before I would have realized that DUH! this is paid off!

United Consumer Financial Services -- Now hear this --- send your consumers STATEMENTS so they are informed of their payoffs! It's the right thing to do! You are not an easy company to locate!

I purchased a kirby vaccum in sept. of 2007,I did'nt think anything about it when

I was told who was financing it,I signed all the contracts and agreed to an auto withdraw from my checking account for the payments,I do that alot.

I have not to this date ever received a statement from these people,I know of other business that ask you if you would like to go paperless with your statements, belive it or not it saves the company a lot of money weather they choose to pass the savings onto there customers is up to them, anyway what I'm getting at is I've not had any trouble with this company.

I've paid my payments for over two years and I pretty much know how much I owe,but just out of curriousity I looked up my contract and found the number right away,I called and within 5 minutes I had my balance and with out my even asking they told me how many payments I have left and on the last payment they automaticly send a payoff statement.

This is the same company that was written up about how bad they are it's the same address and phone number,so I don't know why anyone else has a problem with them I just had to put my 2 cents in,thanks
