UPS consitently damages packages and then delivers them to my residence.  In the past eight years, I have had shipments lost, excessively delayed after paying the ever-increasing shipping rate, and better than 50% of the packages are severely damaged.  On top of this, UPS drivers are supposed to allow the customer to refuse damaged pckages.  My driver has repeatedly placed tor,n open, smashed packages on my porch and hustled to his truck.  Sometimes he doesn't even ring the doorbell.  My suspicion is that he knows I would not accept the damaged goods and that would require him to deal with an incident report. This has caused vendors to have to work thru the replacement with me more than once, and at times tying up my money for weeks until a refund is finally issued by the vendor.

The bottom line is that I now try to use USPS and FedEx at all times.  Oddly, I have had only one damaged package between the two of those delivery services, in over 20 years.  If you want your package delivered on-time, without damage - steer clear of UPS.

Following a phon call to customer service, Iwas called back by the loal UPS package center in Calrksville, Indiana.  She apologized and stated she would talk with the package car (brown truck) drivers about not leaving damaged packages without customer approval.  Four days later, my second package arrived from the vendor who replaced the item UPS damaged.  The second package was crused worse than the first.  uckily, the vendor hd double packed bubble wrap around the item itself, s I did ge my air onditioner fixed.

UPS has damaged my packages repeatedly.  Calls to the company have yielded nothing except cursory opologies.  I will avoid UPS deliveries atall costs.  Their rediculously terrible service has cost me tim and money again and again.  A I stated n th frst post, I have had xellent service ith Federal Express.  Frm now on, if a vendor doen'se Fedx, my business will go elsewhee.
