Shipped from Brooklyn, New York - April 19, 2006 3PM

It is now April 21, 2006 1:30PM and the package is not yet delivered. BEWARE OF UPS-DO NOT SHIP IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS.

UPS discovered erroneous zip code hence they not able to deliver the package on April 20, 2006 for a next day. UPS call the recipient Thursday night and corrected the zip code and promised to delivery by Friday, April 21, 2006 10:30AM. The package was sent back to Maspeth, NY from Long Island City, NY instead of sending the package to their Manhattan Office in Varick Street.

At around 9:00AM, I call the customer service and they confirmed that they will delivered by 10:30AM today. At around 11:00AM, I checked the UPS website, the package is not yet delivered. I call UPS at 11:00AM, the Customer Service Manager, Nate said he will have someone call me in one hour. Someone from the Manhattan Office in Varick Street call at around 11:45AM to inforom me that they do not have the package in their facility. They will call me back within one hour.

At around 12:30PM, I called again UPS. Dawn, one of the UPS customer service representative, sensing that nothing can be done did not help at all. When I requested for a Manager, she just want to take my phone number so that a Manager can call me after one hour later. This is killing the time so after 12PM, they have an excuse to deliver it next day again.

When I did not have any resolution with Dawn, I hang up the phone and call again at around 1:25PM, I spoke with Shiela who readily transfer me to a Customer Service Supervisor named Jennifer Espinosa. Ms. Espinosa said that the package cannot be delivered today, Friday April 21, 2006

Now, UPS next day air for EXTREMELY URGENT DOCUMENTS delivering from Brooklyn, NY to New York, NY (within New York City) is taking longer than ONE DAY. If only I knew better, You are better off taking the subway for one or two hours and deliver the documents personally. Never rely on UPS for your important loan documents. In the past they perform but the service is getting bad to worst. The customer service representative and the manager are only there to kill the time and apologize and apologize. They cannot do anything for you at all. They are a bunch of inefficient employees who does not care about service at all.

It is funny after I have written up this report at your website and give up on the following issue, I have rested my case and did not bother to check anymore from 3:00PM to 6:45PM. I was surprise that this package was finally delivered to the bank at 3:26PM just before the bank close for the day. If not for this report on this website, I would not think UPS would have made an effort at all. THANK YOU RIPOFFREPORT.COM, YOU MADE IT HAPPEN. Just a note to people who are revising the UPS package tracking, they lied when they have 2 comments of delivery at around 12:22PM Friday April 21, 2006 when they actually delivered by 3:26PM. IF THIS WAS DELIVERED BY 12:22PM, then I would not have call UPS at 1:30PM and I would not have reported this to this website. Status: Delivered Delivered on: 04/21/2006 3:26 P.M. Then why did not not hop on a subway and take them to Manhattan yourself? It doesn't take 2 hours to go by subway from brooklyn to get downtown. (Or are you above taking the subway?) It only takes my mother an hour (maybe 2, depending on traffic.) to get into manhattan from Nyack. And Brooklyn is a whole lot closer than that.

So you put the wrong zip code on the letter and you are mad at UPS for calling and getting the corrected zip, they said they would try to deliever it the next day, ok so that seems to not have happened, you are lucky they did not return it to you and then had you correct the zip. I would call that customer service. Just how far is it from Brooklyn, NY to New York, NY.

I know who the Unites States Postal Service is. I also know who United Parcel Service is. Who is United Postal Service. Was there a merger that I am unaware of?

I Give Up?

#9Consumer Comment

I give up? What does "UPS discovered erroneous zipcode" mean? Did they deliver to the wrong zipcode ORRRRRRRRR did YOU put the wrong zipcode on the "package of important documents"? I would imagine it the "package of important documents" had the right zipcode on them, they would have arrived on time. 6 paragraphs of chaff.
