UNITED ROOFING New Jersey MIKE SCIUBBA LIARS< SCAM ARTISTS
Came to give estimate on redoing kitchen. All very nice: we redo electric, plumbing etc and do take-downs and new walls etc. Sent me to pick out cabinets of my choice. Waited to get fax with list of thins/items they would do. Fax was very general and had no specifics. Called and asked and called and asked and called and asked.
FINALLY, they sent me a list - not containing type of number or size of cabinets and countertops. I had selected light maple and they were telling me I had selected foil white (cheap cabs). They also said electric and plumbing were extra. Sciubba had measured for the cabinets They sent another guy to remeasure and he said whoever measured must have been drunk: the measurements were way off.
A month went by and no revisions thought I repeatedly called and faxed (they never answered the phone). Finally, the original salesguy answered the phone and told me :We don't want customers like YOU." Sent back part of my deposit and the check bounced. I reported it to the police. Finally they sent my deposit and the bounce fee back.
I called because when they did my roof, they were quick, fair and did it well. They never ever should have moved on to additions/kitchens. Avoid them like the plague--I see they have not changed their tune much.
