United States Trademark Registration Office Pretty slick. May cause a lot of people to contact their IP attorney to see if there is anything behind it. Ca-ching, that would be a $100 call and laugh. I'm not sure how many might fall but I wou Bogus trademark registration scam cost me time to check it out. Trying to imitate Government office. San Francisco, California
Sent a very official looking document that was headed with "IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION REGARDING YOUR FEDERAL TRADEMARK" They made it appear as though the "U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP)" and the "United States Patent and Trademark Office" were working together to investigate and regulate the use of similar marks in imported goods.
It all looked very official. They want $375 "NOW DUE" to protect your mark.
I spent about 40 minutes checking it out online and 10 minutes filling this in. All together they took about an hour from me. 1 hour x $200 = $200.00 now due from them.
