United Talent Agency UTA Questionable integrity Beverly Hills Arkansas
A friend of my son had a disturbing experience regarding UTA.His friend wrote a book manuscript that some friends (and former foster parents of the man) of Martin Bauer ( the owner)forwarded to UTA. At Mr. Bauer's request( as told to his friend by his foster parents) my son's friend rewrote the book manuscript as a movie screenplay entitled "The Wanderer". Over the next 18 months or so the foster parents kept asking for copies of the script saying Bauer had requested them and that it was being read by escalating tiers of readers who would decide the fate of the script. From what it seems. a backdoor deal might have been made suppressing circulation of the script in which an option may have been purchased but the author of the script never compensated or informed of such a deal. Phone calls by his friend to UTA to Mr. Bauer were never returned and the foster parents diatanced themselves and acted as if defensive that they might be caught in an imprisonable offense.
Dont know what happened to my son's friend over the years but it has bugged me.
