Universal Action Travel False Advertising Tampa Florida
We filled out a form on the internet to get more information on the different vacation packages they offer but when we were called on about August 14, 2008 we were pushed and bullied into purchasing the package right there on the spot. We were told we had unlimited time to use the package and we had 30 days to go over the information and if it wasn't what we wanted we would be able to cancel it and my money would be refunded. We received the package about September 12, 2008 and found out we only had one year to use it in as well as that we did not really want the vacation so we contacted the company on September 15, 2008 and was conviently greeted by the same rep who sold us the package. She informed us that it was "after the 30 days review period" (August 14 - September 15), and when we informed her the package didn't arrive on time she informed us "she or universal travel "do not control the mail"". We then asked to speak to a manager or a customer complain rep and we were informed that "there was no managers in the building, and that she herself was a customer complaint rep."

Hello Speers, Sorry you fell victim to the same trap so many of us do.... As you can see from my previous report this company and its personnel has problems keeping their word... For anyone else that might be searching for them before buying a vacation from them BEWARE!!! You can check the previous Rip Off Reports as to their reputation. Because they are in Florida you should contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs and Make a complaint. This company has been investigated by the State before for Fraud. Also contact the Florida BBB in their area. Hopefully you will get your money back... It may be a battle, But once they feel Heat from Authorities they are forced to do what the law requires in FLORIDA. Hope it works out for you. Veronique, Quebec
