I just got off the phone with Universal Gas and Electric Corp.. The reason for my call was to cancil the service. Well, forget that, I was informed that in order to cancell, I would have to put it in writing, accompanied by a check for $250.00(?) and when they recieve my check and the letter the service will be cancelled. I thought we could cancell at any time. What a joke. You are locked in for 5 years, and in the mean time paying about $25 to $35 a month on top of your gas bill to keep the lower price. My Consumers (gas) bill distribution charge for May was 0.204700 ccf for 30 = $15.14, Universal was 1.049000 ccf for 30= $31.47, where is the savings. I am on a fixed income, this is rediculous.
