Complaint Review: University Of Phoenix - Tampa Nationwide

I started to talk to one of the sales people of the Phoenix University online a year ago, that person convince me to start taking classes there because it was going to improve my life in the future, i clearly stated that i can not afford to pay, because I am disabled and am not working;

then the person told me that i can get financial aid and that that process will be very easy, also she said that i can even get grants to help me pay for my tuition and everyone gets approved, i went trough a long process of filling forms only with her assistance because English is my second language and I couldn't understand many things.

after a few months I started class, and another company called me, the Apollo group they started asking for more documents about the registration to the selective service, i sent all the documents they asked for. I am Disabled and i did not register because i cant go to the military I am in a wheelchair.

so after i took one month and 2 weeks they billed me over $2000.00 and keep asking for non seance documents; I was supposed to start the second set of classes and they stopped my classes privileges, in other words i was not able to take any more classes until i was clear from the Apollo group, my question is why did they waited for me to start and billed me 2 or 4 k before they said i wasn't clear to take classes there,

to me that is fraud and misleading the general public in order to generate revenue or commission, and to me that has to be punishable by law, this fraudulent and calculated action has to have a solution so people wont get ripoff ,

after a few months of waiting for me to clear, the academic counselor schedule me for classes again the day before starting those classes they change it and say i was not clear yet and they posted a message on those classes as a droop off, when i was not even able to join the class room, this was a trick to increase the bill, now my bill shows for an amount of $4161.00 and am not even clear to restart classes.

another think the sales rep that i talk to at the beginning say that my total tuition for this will cost much less that what i am paying now.

i really don't know what to do as time its very important to me, am not that young and i could be taking classes on a more responsible university, to make things worse i found on the internet all this complaints from other people and law suits against , the Phoenix university, the apollo group AND TO AXIA COLLEGE.

is there any one that can help me and tell me what else can i do ???

I contact Phoenix university and they said my case is being reviewed by a committee, but does that take that long, how come the committee did not take their time during the registration process, be fore I owe them money, may be because they needed to create some type of financial obligation or for me to be on debt, so the can sell those debts later on to debt collection agencies??? that is a funnier way to make money too, what if that committee wont approve me, am I bound to that debt because their funny way to do business?
