University OF Phonix UOP is a rip off, they had me take some classes I didn't choose. They told me to choose work study programs. I got no finacial Aid dispersement from them, I was told I needed no books, strange. Beware UOP told me I needed no books, to apply for finacial Aid and to apply for work study although this was an online degree program. I recieved no disbursement for my FASA. Internet
University of Phonix(Axial) Is a rip off. They has me taking classes I wasn't familar with. When it came to applying for finacial Aid they told me to put down Full time student (although I was working part time) and they told me to apply for work-study programs and I was doing online classes.(which I thought was strange) The guy got me in school right away and I had no orientation to learn how to do the forums or anything. I was told by the conselor once I started school.
I took 2 classes and when school started the finacial Aid let me know I was getting and when I asked if I was getting any finacial Aid back they told me no. (I wasconcerned because I was leasing acomputer for class and I really wanted to own it They say that you need no books or anything eeverything you need is the finacial Aid takes care of. I had to buy my school supplies but they told me the online classes were very expensive. I then realized after doing the 2 classes I wanted to go for Nursing. I was told by the counselor there that it wasn't a degree program and it was "stupid of me to even consider doing this because they only make about 40,000 a year'" I told them I enjoyed working at the hospital and they were angry with me for changingmy mind, and after they couldn' tconvince me to change my mind they wouldn't return my calls afterwards. I called the loan people and cancelled my loan, I saved myself 30,000 dollars.

UoP lied and ripped the OP off. As usual UoP lied and said all they could to try to suck another person in their whirlpool of unethical business practices!

You dont buy books at UoP because they are online and it is added on to the cost of the class. They did not lie to you. Also, it is hard to complete a nursing degree online.
