I used to live in Greenville, SC, and we joined Uniway soon after in opened, had to have been in the early '70's. We were treated with respect and honesty when we were presented with the pro- gram. All questions were answered, but we still had second thoughts when we joined. It was a big step for us, just married and couldn't afford to waste what little money we had. I think many people do not read contracts and agreements; then they are embarrassed when they try to get out of something. They then blame an innocent Co. for their own "change of mind,""fight with spouse""tight money situation," etc. Most who complain on these "ripoffs," have only them- selves to blame. We did take advantage of all that Uniway had to offer. Of course, if Uniway does not offer a low enough price, we would not buy it. You can see what they offer, then compare it to local competi- tion. We found, on most cases, that Uniway beat others by a lot. We saved several $100's on fur- niture alone; we got styles and pieces that local stores would not even carry in their showrooms. I'd estimate that we got back 10 times the member- ship fee in savings. I'm glad Uniway is still in business. Contrary to what others may say----the fact that they are in business IS TOO an indication that the good outweighs the bad. A satisfied Uniway customer.
